Today, we kick off
with approaching paperwork clutter, the second most popular topic that was
voted on by you. We won’t be touching any paperwork today. This is the day we set
a goal for the week, plan for our action and take any preparation steps needed.
Goal: Set a SMART
Goal for the Week for Paperwork
As we look at paperwork clutter, what is your goal? Make
sure it is a SMART goal. This is a challenge so push yourself but also be
S.M.A.R.T.
Plan: When are you going
to do your work?
Take a look at your schedule. Where can you carve out 15-30
minutes each day? Yes, only 15-30 minutes is all that will be required each day
in this challenge, not including reading the daily emails or blog information.
Also, look at your personality & lifestyle. Are you a
morning person? Are you an evening person?
Do you have others living with you? How will you work around them?
Plan: Where Will You
Focus?
Are you going to start your work at your desk or a file
drawer or a shelf or somewhere else? Decide where you will start.
Prepare – Create Paper
Spaces
Paperwork is a little different than clothes so instead of
one Holding Space, we will create Paper Spaces. Today, create these zones for
your paperwork:
Tomorrow – We Take Action
With you goal and plan in place, we will take action on
approaching your paperwork and start creating routines.
